Ceremony to Recognize 197 Students

 BELTSVILLE, Md., October 12, 2011— TESST College of Technology Beltsville will hold a graduation Thursday, Oct. 13, for 197 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at the University of Maryland Adele H. Stamp Student Union, College Park, Md.

The Beltsville-based school will recognize students for earning an associate degree, degree or diploma in the fields of allied health, criminal justice, information technology, legal and trades.

“This is a proud day for our graduates and their families,” Shartoyea Scott Dixon executive director of TESST Beltsville, said. “While this is the culmination of hard work and completion of a goal, as graduates, it is also a new beginning for their futures.”

According to the Maryland Occupational Projections, a report by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, computer specialist positions will increase by 20 percent and medical assistant positions by 24 percent between 2008 and 2018.

TESST College of Technology Beltsville is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).  The ACCSC is listed as a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
